One-liner

Anvil is a bus compressor with three switchable engines (Modern / Vari-Mu / Opto), true Mid/Side processing, and an anti-aliased, oversampled drive stage — from Velora Audio.

Description

Anvil is Velora Audio's first plugin: a bus compressor for holding a mix together. Its main feature is three switchable engines that reshape the compressor's character without changing the workflow: Modern is a clean, fast feed-forward design; Vari-Mu narrows its knee as the input rises and recovers gently, evoking tube bus compressors; Opto mimics an optical cell's lazy onset and snappy heavy-compression recovery.

On the technical side, Anvil has a tanh drive stage with anti-derivative anti-aliasing and 2×–8× oversampling, true Mid/Side processing with two independent envelopes, a dual-mono mode, look-ahead, sidechain high-pass with a Listen monitor, adaptive auto-makeup, tempo-synced release, MIDI-learn, and A/B with crossfade. Validated at pluginval strictness 10 across all common sample rates.
