How do I install Anvil on macOS? +
Run the .pkg installer — it places the VST3 in ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/, the AU in ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/, and the Standalone in /Applications/. Re-scan plugins in your DAW.
macOS says it couldn't verify the installer. What do I do? +
That's expected — Anvil isn't notarised yet (it's free). Double-click the .pkg, click Done, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom and click "Open Anyway" next to Anvil, then confirm with your password. Power users can instead run: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/Anvil-1.0.0.pkg
Is Anvil really free? What's the catch? +
Yes, completely free — no payment ever, and commercial use is included. You just grab a free unlock key by email and paste it into the plugin once. We ask for your email so we can tell you about the next plugins — that's the only "catch".
How do I unlock Anvil? +
Request a free key on the Get page, then in Anvil click UNLOCK in the header, paste the key from your email and hit Activate. After that it keeps working offline.
How many machines can I use my key on? +
Up to 3 machines per key. Need more (new computer, studio rebuild)? Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Will Anvil get free updates? +
Yes — all updates are free, forever.
Can I use it in commercial music? +
Absolutely. Make money with it, release tracks with it, use it on client work — no restrictions.
How can I support Velora Audio if it's free? +

Pro Tools / AAX support? +
Not yet. AAX is on the roadmap if there's demand from Pro Tools users — let us know.
